“WOM-INSPIRED”

Through the WOM Collective, Raquel helped present their first Art Festival. The event took part at Camberwell, South London, and exhibited artwork of 18 female artists, under the theme Woman Inspired. The artists shared their talent and skills during 3 days of celebration for Women’s Day, with the presentation of an urban art gallery, art shop, graffiti jam and art workshops as part of this wonderful and unique event.
One of the key aims of the mini festival was to continue a movement. One where artists work together for the benefit of the whole. Outside of the gallery system this means that whatever they do the control is retained. From a development point of view, it’s also a shared learning space. Many of the artists taking part in the paint jams, still themselves getting used to working with spray paint.
