Raquel is passionate about bringing creatives together by creating spaces that harbor community, support, education, and promote personal growth. She has dedicated over a decade to working alongside local community members and artists to conceptualize, produce and curat several exhibitions, panel discussions, and interactive spaces for the art communities in California, Texas, and London. After moving to Houston in 2023, this passion led her to create “The Open Door Gallery”, a community based art collective focusing on celebrating and supporting local artists through group exhibitions, panel discussions and community building events.
